Communal & Social Center of Tulkarem – Palestine

The aim of the project – which will benefit children aged 5 to 12 and their families – is to provide structure and support to teachers of local schools in order to help them in the areas of pedagogical and psychosocial follow-up. The main objective is to fight against violence and extremist ideologies among children and families.

The Communal & Social Center is developed in partnership with the Syndicate of Psychologists and Social Workers of Palestine which will ensure the actions carried out by the Center and the The International Institute for Rights and Development Geneva.

The Communal & Social Center is located about 2 km from the surrounding schools and close to the refugee camps of Noor Shams and Tulkarem. The Center will provide community services for children, families and teachers to foster mutual support; develop a sense of social responsibility and improve cohesion within the community. The Center will help individuals and families solve intra-community problems and help improve the quality of social life in general.
